Let’s Not Keep The Secret Coast Secret Anymore!
Mississippi’s coast may be considered the “secret coast,” but that doesn’t mean it has to stay a secret! Does Mississippi have white sand beaches? Yes, the Mississippi Gulf Coast is covered in beautiful beaches, just waiting to be discovered.
Gulfport Beach
Gulfport Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf Coast. With miles of gorgeous white sand and warm ocean breezes extending from Biloxi to Long Beach, a day at Gulfport Beach is bound to be relaxing and enjoyable. Gulfport Beach offers visitors scenic views, a peaceful atmosphere and free parking. This beach also boasts the convenience of being close to all of the great restaurants, shops and attractions that Gulfport offers, so you have plenty of options for things to do and places to go after a long day at the beach.
Front Beach
The sugary white sands of Front Beach are located in Ocean Springs. This delightful beach is perfect for sunbathing on the shore or building sand castles with your family. Visitors to Front Beach also have access to public piers where you can go fishing or hunt for crabs.
Biloxi Beach
If you’re looking for a peaceful day at the beach with your family, Biloxi Beach might be just what you’re looking for! Biloxi Beach is the perfect place for you to enjoy a day at the beach away from the vast crowds. This lovely beach has shallow waters suitable for people of all ages and is kept very clean by the city of Biloxi.
Bay St. Louis Beach
Another fabulous Mississippi beach can be found in Bay St. Louis. Bring your family, friends and pets down to Bay St. Louis beach for a lovely day on the sand. Listen to the waves roll onto the shore, take a dip in the cool water or play a game in the white sand. This beach also offers visitors volleyball courts and showers to clean off the sand and escape from the crowds.
Alongside Mississippi’s mainland beaches, Mississippi also has 6 barrier islands located all along its coast. The most popular and famous of the barrier islands is Ship Island. To get to Ship Island, prepare to board the ship island ferry, where you can expect a scenic trip filled with beautiful views and maybe even a few dolphin sightings. Once you arrive at Ship Island, you can have fun in the sun, swim in the blue water, explore the island and even visit the historic Fort Massachusetts.
